VW Golf Electric Finally Appears

The Car-type compact hatchback from Volkswagen, Golf is now available version of the electrical machine. Comes with zero emissions, and ready to be sold into the market starting 2013.

As reported by Autocar, Wednesday (19/05/2010) German manufacturer called Golf Blue E-motion, with an electric motor behind the front hood, with the power to reach 115 bhp.

Golf Blue E-motion will be armed with front-wheel drive, with the latest technology which has a single gear gearbox MQ210 code, and the application of a separate clutch.

Electrical power supplied by lithium-ion batteries installed in the middle floorpan tunnel under the rear seat and trunk floor.

With storage capacity of 26.5 kWh, the battery is able to bring Golf Blue E-motion run until the distance traveled as far as 93 miles, with maximum speeds reaching 87 mph.

Volkswagen said the unit plans to produce up to 500 units of Golf Blue E-motion for internal testing prior to the production version arrives in 2013.
